Rutland’s leading pressure washing and driveway cleaning company

For most people the outside flooring to their home are chosen with as much care as interior flooring finishes. Natural stone, slabs, block paving and decking all add to the look you want but over time the effects of the weather, moss, algae, lichen and just general use means that the flooring loses that sharpness you initially wanted. The Rutland Cleaning Company and our sister company Rutland Driveway Cleaning can bring your outside flooring back to life and give it back its original look using either pressure washing, soft washing or a combination of both methods.
Block paving and pressure washing
Block paving responds really well to pressure washing . The build up of ingrained dirt and the weeds and moss that grow between the pavers are all cleaned away by the process. Re-sanding is imperative, both from an aesthetic point of view and also for the integrity of the driveway. We always re-sand your driveway for you the following day allowing the drive to fully dry.

Decking pressure washing

Decking is somewhat different to block paving and natural stone when it comes to cleaning. Its easily damaged. Fortunately we have the experience to clean and enhance your decking without causing damage.
After assessing the decking we will clean either with a low pressure or a soft wash or a combination of both. After cleaning we do recommend that a finish be put on the decking to protect it with

decking oil being our preferred finish. This is available either in a natural or various colours if you want to alter the colour of your decking.
Soft washing
You’ll have seen me mention soft washing a few times above and may not know what it means. Soft washing involves using a chemical biocide to kill off natural organisms and soiling on the surface of the paving or decking to be cleaned. This is then rinsed off using a low pressure . This method is particularly useful where there are delicate surfaces or where the inevitable mess caused by pressure washing could be a problem.
