We all aim to put flooring down in our kitchen that not only looks good but is easy to maintain. All you really want to have to do is to give it a quick mop and get it looking clean again. A popular option is vinyl flooring. Its obviously easier and cheaper to install that ceramic tiles or natural stone floors, and is more robust than wood in a kitchen environment.
Most vinyl floors, and indeed most hard floor surfaces are not totally smooth. If they were then they would to dangerously slippy if they got wet and so a ‘surface’ is engineered into the vinyl to make it non slip. The issue is that dirt tends to gather in this surface and over time simply mopping will not get rid of this dirt and the floor remains grubby even after cleaning.
Steam cleaning can be partly successful in cleaning out some of this soiling but for the best vinyl floor cleaning a combination of specialist cleaning solutions and machinery to ensure the solutions get into every pore of the surface . The images above show a heavily soiled floor that we have recently returned back to looking as new.
We can also offer to seal the surface once its clean so that its far earlier to keep clean but at the same time keeping the floor surface anti-slip.
